Oasis: Tactical Salvage Reclamation is a 6mm scale (1/285) tactical sci-fi miniatures game played on a 3'x6' tabletop between two opposing players.
The Oasis is full of valuable salvage; artifacts from advanced alien cultures as well as dwindling human supplies. Your objective is to extract more salvage than your opponent– or eliminate all of your opponents for a more relaxed salvage experience. 'Points of interest' on the board represent a likely location where you can potentially excavate salvage. Once salvage is found and collected, players need to safely usher it into a transport and off the battlefield.
At the start of each turn, players may secretly bid away their pool of twenty command points (that they may otherwise spend on commands- abilities that affect units and dice) to guarantee that their units get to act first. Bidding for initiative comes at a cost: less command points available to accomplish functions of units.
Miniature tanks, aircraft, infantry, and capital ships are controlled by players and may move, attack, and use abilities- all of which are on unit cards for ease of reference during the game. Combat is two-phased and dice-based, determining if attacks hit and if they have the power necessary to damage or destroy the defending unit. Combat is quick and lethal- if an attack can penetrate a unit's armor, that unit is more than likely destroyed.
The game ends when one player extracts three pieces of salvage or when one player's forces are destroyed. Will your focus be archeological salvage extraction- or destruction of the competition?
