During the day, Dale Eadeh is a creative director in experiential marketing, leading award-winning projects that include Fallout, Alien: Earth, Star Wars, X-men, and Lord of the Rings. At night, he often dons his nerd propellor beanie, as a CSO painter and designer/illustrator for Battletech, as well as the owner and designer of Hardware Studios, his 6mm-focused shop.
Before Hardware Studios was even started, however, over the course of a decade (and many conversations and kitbashing sessions with his best friend of 20+ years, architect Jason Kurzweil) the universe of the Oasis was slowly being formed, with influences drawn from 80s sci-fi and Dale's own university experience as a classicist on archeological digs in Cyprus. With a laser focus on zone theory and approachability as foremost game design concerns, Oasis is Dale's third venture into game design, and first published game.
Byron Collins began designing games in high school as a creative outlet to reskin D&D into a home-brew Sci-Fi RPG. This kicked off a journey in 2008 to self-publish a number of WWII-themed card and miniatures games (Spearpoint 1943 series) while learning and teaching about publishing and crowdfunding in the process.
His interest shifted back to Sci-Fi to develop an innovative sandbox Sci-Fi miniatures-agnostic tabletop game called Polyversal, designed by Ken Whitehurst, which received an Origins Award nomination in 2022 for Best Miniatures Game and won RockyMountainNavy's Wargame Rules of the Year in 2025. Polyversal led to new collaborations with others including Austin of Death Ray Designs, Laramie of Tabletop Terrain, Dale Eadeh of Hardware Studios, and a number of fantastic artists and graphic designers.
Collins Epic Wargames is actively developing Oasis: Tactical Salvage Reclamation among other projects. Byron runs Collins Epic Wargames with his fiance, Kat, out of Williamsburg, Virginia.
Collins Epic Wargames is publishing Oasis.
Austin began Death Ray Designs in In 2012 as a small YouTube channel called Brush4Hire with painting tutorials. Shortly after launch, we began a collaboration with Mini War Gaming to provide extra content for them and took on painting commissions. In 2014 we purchased our first laser cutter and began producing terrain and accessory kits for our favorite miniature war games. Since then, we have experimented with a variety of materials and techniques and produced hundreds of gaming products and continued to expand our operation.
We hold our products to the highest standard and personally produce every part of the kits that we can in the USA. In most cases, that’s everything from the product itself to the packaging and instructions. We are still a very small company, but we put our passion into every product we produce.
Death Ray Designs will be printing all miniatures for Oasis and handling other production-related responsibilities.
Laramie began working on Tabletop Terrain in 2018 out of a desire to provide better terrain to the local gaming community. In 2018, he began partnering with some local gaming groups in the Cincinnati / Dayton, OH area who were just getting started and needed help having enough terrain for their events. At that time much of what was readily available was not very unique and he had a desire to do better.
Tabletop Terrain officially launched In late 2019. They now have more than 100 printers running in their factory in Forest, Virginia with the goal of providing table ready terrain straight out of the box.
Tabletop Terrain will be printing all Oasis-unique scenery.
