Humanity had become a railroad town. Corporate eugenics, inherited debt, and a de facto caste system had locked our species into a cultural and economic stasis.
In 2257, however, a hole in space changed everything. On the other side: a micro galaxy in the vast emptiness between galaxies. Hundreds of worlds encrusted with the cultural and technological barnacles of billions of years of long-gone civilizations.
For those who came before, this galaxy was a rest stop. A hideout. A staging ground.
A grave.
